This Boosey & Hawkes G/D bass trombone was manufactured March-April 1939, one of three made those months. These trombones are often referred to as the "Betty" model after the bass trombone William Betty.
This instrument is silver plated and the plating is in very good condition. All the braces on this horn have a floral ornamentation design. Also included is an alternate tuning slide (C). The overall condition of this trombone is excellent and the original case is included with the price. Also included is the 'BBC' embroidered cloth, making us wonder if this horn may have been used with the BBC Orchestra.
